Hundreds of families braved the unseasonable conditions to be part of the inaugural Amazing Ride.

A buzzing event village saw riders of all ages take on this new ride and explore the bike paths of Melbourne in a fun, safe and family friendly way.

The most adventurous participants took to the 32km ride allowing riders to explore new areas of Melbourne on their bike.  Participants loved the unique areas and seeking out the answers in their scavenger hunt.

The 14km course provided the perfect challenge for many riders.  The ride provided opportunities for riders to stop at iconic Melbourne sites like the Collingwood Children’s Farm and passing hidden gems and beautiful playgrounds.

For those just starting to ride the 1km Baby Chino ride was perfect.  With games at the midway point most families only were able to convince their young riders back to enjoy the Baby Chino’s provided by Donad and Truck Coffee.

Very Special Kids, Charity Partner for the event, also joined the event with special pigs making everyone smile and the Big Pink Pig a fan favourite.

The event village was buzzing with Bicycle Centre South Morang who were offering free bike safety checks and advice.  Added fun came from cycling skill courses, face painting and much more.

A special thanks to Very Special Kids, the City of Boorondara, the TAC, Bicycle Centre South Morang, Life Cycle 55+, Victoria Police and Merida Bikes for their support.
